A rich history

Lina Stores, an iconic institution in London’s culinary landscape, traces its origins back to 1944 when it was founded by Italian immigrant, Lina Parisio. Originally established as a delicatessen in Soho’s Brewer Street, Lina Stores quickly became renowned for its authentic Italian produce, including fresh pasta, cheeses, meats, and other specialty ingredients imported from Italy.

In the post-war years, Lina Stores played a vital role in providing Londoners with a taste of Italy, offering an escape to a world of Mediterranean flavors and aromas amid the austerity of the time. Its bustling storefront became a beloved hub for locals and Italian expatriates alike, drawn to its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional quality products.

Over the decades, Lina Stores evolved from a simple deli into a cherished culinary destination, expanding its offerings to include freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, and other ready-to-eat delights. Despite changes in ownership and the ever-evolving food landscape of London, Lina Stores remained steadfast in its commitment to quality and tradition, earning a devoted following along the way.

In recent years, Lina Stores has undergone a renaissance, with a renewed focus on its culinary heritage and a commitment to preserving its legacy for future generations. The opening of the flagship restaurant in Soho in 2018 marked an exciting new chapter for the brand, offering diners the opportunity to experience the flavors of Italy in a contemporary setting.

Today, Lina Stores continues to honor its rich history while embracing innovation and creativity in its culinary offerings. From its humble beginnings as a neighborhood deli to its current status as a celebrated dining destination, Lina Stores remains a testament to the enduring appeal of authentic Italian cuisine and the power of passion and dedication to craft.
