Andrew Martin: The Great Hall Collection

Andrew Martin introduces Great Hall, a new fabric and cushion collection inspired by one of the most significant spaces in British architectural history. Once the setting for feasts, ceremonies, trials and gatherings, the Great Hall was traditionally adorned with rich textiles and furnishings. This new collection reinterprets that decorative heritage for contemporary interiors.

Blending classic craftsmanship with modern colour palettes, the collection features hand guided embroidery, traditional crewel work and chain stitch detailing on linen grounds. Designs range from bold multicoloured statements to quieter white on linen interpretations, allowing the pieces to sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary settings.

The collection introduces four designs: Tiger Tree, Glasshouse, Birdsong and Pomegranate.

With an Andrew Martin showroom located in Brompton Cross, the collection sits naturally within the area’s strong tradition of interior design and decorative craftsmanship, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the fabrics and cushions in person.

Tiger Tree

Tiger Tree features embroidered tigers moving through stylised trees and floral sprigs. The design combines playful narrative with intricate stitching, giving the fabric a strong decorative presence.

Available in a vibrant multi coloured version or a restrained white on linen option, Tiger Tree works well as both statement upholstery and accent cushions.

Glasshouse

Glasshouse presents a kaleidoscope of embroidered flowers carefully stitched onto linen. The pattern has a lively, botanical energy while retaining the refined character associated with traditional embroidery.

Two colour approaches are offered. A vibrant multi coloured version creates visual impact, while the white on linen alternative provides a quieter decorative texture.

Birdsong

Birdsong draws on the imagery of a medieval English woodland. Perching birds sit among leaves, branches and intricate flowers, forming a detailed narrative pattern across the cloth.

The design is available in three colourways including a multi coloured palette with greens and warm neutrals, a blue and white interpretation, and a soft ivory on linen.

Pomegranate

Pomegranate features trailing vines of tropical fruit and flowers, introducing a sense of warmth and movement into the pattern. The design brings a slightly exotic character while remaining rooted in traditional textile decoration.

It is available in bold colours on a white ground or a refined white on linen version.

The Great Hall collection is available through Andrew Martin showrooms and online. Visitors to Brompton Cross can also explore the collection at the local Andrew Martin showroom.
