Family Fun around and about Brompton Cross this Easter


Brompton Cross is lucky to be at the centre of so many family adventures in Kensington, Knightsbridge and Chelsea. As the Easter holidays approach,  we are excited to delve into a host of exciting activities to keep everyone entertained just a hop, skip and a jump from Brompton Cross. There’s theatrical productions, creative workshops, cultural explorations and so much more fun to be had in Chelsea and Kensington. 

Here are a few of our favourite ideas for what to do in and around Brompton Cross.

Les Enfants Terribles at the Royal Albert Hall

Kick off the holiday season with a trip to the Royal Albert Hall for Les Enfants Terribles – a top-rated kids’ show that promises fun and laughter for the whole family. Voted one of the Top 10 Kids Shows at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022, this interactive game show, hosted by the UK’s favorite Frenchman Marcel Lucont, pits children against adults in a quest to find the most awful child. Explore the artistic legacy of these remarkable individuals through a series of fun workshops, including tile painting, life drawing, and doll making. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just beginning your creative journey, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.  Spaces for these workshops are limited, so be sure to book in advance to secure your spot and avoid disappointment

Royal Parks Exploration

Take a walk around Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park and you’ll discover attractions, including the Serpentine lake, the Albert Memorial and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground. Look out for Sir Quentin Blake’s enchanting illustrations, recently added to these iconic parks, bringing joy to visitors of all ages. There is a free programme of discovery days: Spring Surprise includes pond dipping sessions, a spring nature trail, Make a seedball to plant at home
springtastic story, there’s also  Nature Roadshows and Marvelous Mammals.

Explore Kensington Palace, the former residences of Queen Victoria and Diana, Princess of Wales, and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the landscaped gardens. 

The Serpentine Galleries

A pioneer in the aesthetics of machine intelligence, artist and technologist Refik Anadol is known for his innovative media works and large-scale public installations. Echoes of the Earth: Living Archive, Anadol’s first major institutional solo exhibition in the UK, envelops viewers in immersive environments that utilise years-long experimentation with visual data of coral reefs and rainforests and showcases the creative potential of AI.

Victoria and Albert Museum

Delve into the world of art and design at the Victoria and Albert Museum, where you can admire treasures spanning 3000 years of history. From ceramics to fashion, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, including family-friendly activities and drop-in design workshops.

Science Museum and Natural History Museum

The EASTER Egg Hunts

The Little Egg Hunt In Chelsea

From 18 March to 15 April, follow the trail to discover 12 giant eggs. This brilliant activity for all the family will have you exploring the neighbourhood to find each egg which has been beautifully decorated by high profile artists whose names you might recognise. The Little Egg Hunt is a collaboration between the charity, The Elephant Family, and Clarence Court and their giant size makes for the perfect photo moment to capture the special memories.

Chelsea Physic Garden Easter Hunt and Workshops

Join in the Easter fun at Chelsea Physic Garden Hunt over the Easter weekend. Families can also enjoy chocolate workshops, family make-paints-with-plants sessions, and a range of Easter-themed activities designed to spark creativity and curiosity over the holidays.
