Global Design, Rooted in Brompton Cross: The World of Katharine Pooley

At the heart of Brompton Cross, with her boutique on Walton Street and design studio on Ixworth Place, Katharine Pooleycontinues to shape some of the world’s most extraordinary interiors while championing the craftsmanship, artistry and creative partnerships that define her design philosophy.

From private residences and superyachts to bespoke furniture, accessories and collectible design, Katharine’s work has become synonymous with a distinctly British approach to luxury—one that balances timeless elegance with contemporary innovation. From her Brompton Cross base, her creative vision reaches far beyond Chelsea, with projects spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

This year has seen a series of exciting collaborations and launches that celebrate European heritage, exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design. Among the highlights is the debut of Beyond Interiors, alongside new collections unveiled during Milan Design Week in collaboration with Pinetti and THG Paris—bringing together Italian and French craftsmanship with Katharine’s unmistakably British design sensibility.
The launch of the Marcel collection, inspired by the modernist legacy of Marcel Breuer, further reflects Katharine’s ability to draw on design history while creating pieces that feel entirely contemporary. Sculptural forms, tactile finishes and meticulous detailing define the collection, offering a natural extension of the studio’s interior language.

Collaboration, Craft and Purpose

Closer to home, Katharine’s ongoing collaboration with Fromental continues to evolve, with a new Duck Egg Bloomcolourway added to the An English Butterfly Garden collection, created in support of Butterfly Conservation—a beautiful expression of design with purpose, inspired by the colours and delicate beauty of the British landscape.

Beyond interiors, Katharine’s collaborations continue to extend into the worlds of travel, marine design and lifestyle, with appearances at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix and partnerships that celebrate craftsmanship in all its forms. Each project reflects the same attention to detail, materiality and storytelling that has become the hallmark of her work.

From the creative energy of Walton Street and Ixworth Place to an international stage, Katharine’s year has been defined by innovation, collaboration and a deep respect for heritage craftsmanship.

As one of Brompton Cross’s most internationally recognised design names, Katharine continues to bring global inspiration back to the neighbourhood—strengthening its reputation as a destination for exceptional design, artistry and enduring luxury.
