Marfa Stance

British designer Georgia Dant founded Marfa Stance in 2019 after years leading design teams at Burberry and Rag and Bone. A Central Saint Martins graduate, she saw first hand how quickly well made clothes were cast aside as trends moved on, and set out to create something built to last instead.

The idea came to her on a flight across the Atlantic, following a visit to Marfa, Texas, the desert town shaped by the artist Donald Judd. She began sketching a single garment that could adapt to any climate or lifestyle, and the brand takes its name from that moment.

Every Marfa Stance piece is fully reversible and designed as part of a system. Detachable collars, hoods and liners fit across the range, so one jacket, coat or parka can be changed to suit the weather or the mood. Fewer pieces, worn more ways, for longer.

The collections are seasonless and made in Italy by ethically run, family owned factories led by women. Fabrics are recycled and free from PFAs, with premium surplus and deadstock used wherever possible. Runs are limited as a result, so you are unlikely to see anyone else in the same combination.
