My mother founded Andipa in 1967 and over the years the art may have changed dramatically but our core values of kindness, attentiveness and curatorial knowledge have remained. One of the most important aspects to what we do is that of building relationships. In fact, you could say that our entire business is constructed around the deep connections that we form with our clients and the trust that develops as a result.
With many good clients becoming even better friends, I am proud that we have an excellent reputation in advising on art and, naturally, when one develops a relationship with a client it becomes personal in nature. We have extensive experience advising private funds, institutions and individuals on not just what to acquire but how to do so.
The biggest advantage of acting as a private art advisor is that when we are dealing with HNW individuals and extremely rare important objects there is a reassuring sense of discretion that we impart. This allows us to really get to know the individual and develop a strong relationship founded on trust. The core activities that we undertake, naturally, relate to eh buying and selling of artworks – placing important works off market to our group of select individuals who we have know for many years. Likewise, we are often involved in other services for our client relating to collection management, logistics and general advice. Often, when a client is purchasing a work that isn’t from Andipa, we are tasked with an inspection on their behalf as our expertise and knowledge are trusted. Whether a client wishing to buy original Banksy paintings or is exploring Banksy prints for sale, we are proud to extend this level of service to clients of Andipa at whatever level they are buying at. It is this distinction I believe that truly sets us apart from many other galleries.
Being in Bromtoon Cross for so many years, I have seen the street change dramatically as, naturally, businesses come and go. One thing that does stand out is how close knit the community is – almost like a village – and it is this personable feel that we capture at the gallery and thus in how we act for our clients when dealing and advising. Sama nd the team at Brompton Cross have been marvellous in curating this feeling and encouraging collaborations between local businesses. We’re looking forward to seeing what else comes!.
All at Brompton Cross would like to thank Acorus and the team for their time.
