Summit Photo Returns to the Royal Geographical Society

Just a short walk from Brompton Cross, the Royal Geographical Society on Kensington Gore welcomes back Summit Photo this summer, a three-day celebration of environmental and humanitarian photography and filmmaking. Running from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July, the festival brings together world-renowned photographers, filmmakers, scientists and policymakers for a weekend of talks, exhibitions and workshops exploring how visual storytelling can drive positive change.

Talks, Workshops and Exhibitions

The line-up reflects the scale of the event, with confirmed speakers including Greenpeace co-leader Areeba Hamid, National Geographic Explorer Bertie Gregory, and acclaimed photographers James Balog, Mandy Barker and Shahidul Alam, among others. Across the weekend, visitors can expect powerful presentations, panel discussions and micro-lectures, alongside access to the Earth Photo exhibition showing in the RGS Pavilion. A day pass costs £25 (£15 for RGS, Royal Photographic Society and Photoworks members) and includes barista-made hot drinks throughout the day, plus a woodfired pizza and salad lunch.

It is a fitting addition to the cultural calendar on Brompton Cross’s doorstep, bringing together photography, science and storytelling in one of South Kensington’s most striking institutions.
