Easter at Brompton Cross

Spring is a wonderful time to explore Brompton Cross. As the neighbourhood begins to bloom, the Easter holidays bring a mix of cultural events, family activities and seasonal shopping, all within easy reach. From museum exhibitions and creative workshops to neighbourhood cafés and local celebrations, there is plenty happening in and around Brompton Cross this Easter.

Family Activities and Workshops
If you are visiting with children over the Easter break, there are several experiences nearby designed to get younger visitors involved.

At Kino, families can enjoy their popular Little Sushi Chefs experience every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. During lunch, younger guests are invited behind the scenes for a complimentary sushi masterclass where they learn the basics of sushi making from the chefs themselves. It is a fun, hands-on experience that gives children the chance to try something new while parents enjoy a relaxed meal.

Just a short walk away, the museums of South Kensington host a range of seasonal activities throughout the Easter holidays. The V&A, Natural History Museum and Science Museum regularly run family trails, creative workshops and interactive exhibitions designed to engage visitors of all ages.

At the V&A South Kensington, visitors can also experience the striking new exhibition Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art. Celebrating the work of Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli, the exhibition explores the surreal and theatrical fashion she created in collaboration with artists such as Jean Cocteau and Salvador Dalí. Described by The Guardian as “like sashaying through a party in 1930s Paris”, the exhibition offers a dazzling look at the intersection of fashion, art and imagination.

Visitors can also see the spectacular Fabergé Easter eggs within the museum’s world-renowned jewellery collection, a seasonal highlight that feels especially fitting at this time of year.

A Sweet Local Celebration
Easter is also a great time to explore Brompton Cross’s neighbourhood cafés and bakeries.

Local favourite Reemies, located on Fulham Road, is celebrating its first birthday this spring. To mark the occasion, the bakery will be giving away 100 of its signature banana cake minis to the first 100 customers through the door on Thursday 2 April. If you are exploring the area over Easter, it is the perfect excuse to stop in for something sweet.

Easter Shopping

If you are planning a relaxed Easter weekend, Brompton Cross is perfectly placed for seasonal shopping.
A favourite among locals is Daylesford Organic on Sloane Avenue. The farmshop brings produce directly from its Cotswolds farm to London, offering fresh seasonal groceries, artisan breads, cheeses, chocolates and beautifully curated homeware. It is an ideal place to pick up ingredients for an Easter brunch or treats to enjoy over the long weekend.

For those seeking Easter treats of a less sugary kind, Blue Almonds is a perfect starting point from Jellycat bunnies, beautifully illustrated children’s books, and charming wooden toys.

Beyond this, Walton Street unfolds as a destination for thoughtful gifting, full of unexpected finds. Soroka, a much-loved concept store, is brimming with beautifully curated pieces, rom elegant tableware and stationery to wellbeing essentials and scented candles.

Along this stretch, Mira Mikati and Roxanne First bring a sense of joy and colour with their playful, optimistic designs.  The newest arrival, Stardust, adds to the mix with an eclectic and carefully considered edit, blending contemporary style with a sense of discovery.

With neighbourhood cafés, world-class museums and elegant shopping streets all within walking distance, Brompton Cross offers the perfect base for enjoying London during the Easter holidays.
